GOLD for NEUS rosé 2020
While the vintage has not yet been bottled, we obtain GOLD for NEUS rosé 2020 at the International Challenge GILBERT & GAILLARD 2021 (results not yet published). This is a new recognition for this fine and elegant organic wine. It is the result of our work on excellence, respect and commitment both to the vine and to the culture.
Tasting comments from the jury:
“Light orange color, gold reflections. Pleasant nose combining floral fragrances, red berries, fine spices. Light, invigorating and clean palate that gives pride of place to spices. We appreciate the precision of this delicious wine.”
Note that due to the wave of mildew on our 2020 harvest, we only produced 4,500 bottles instead of the usual 8,000 bottles. If you like NEUS rosé, don’t wait until summer to order it. An additional GOLD medal
This is the 3rd GOLD medal over the last 3 vintages for NEUS rosé. They are added to the SILVER medals obtained up to the 2017 vintage. With it, there are 11 GOLD medals obtained by CHAPELLE de NOVILIS wines, 8 SILVER ones and we recall the many articles or citations in Guide Hachette, in Terre de vins and La Revue du Vin de France magazines.
But how do you get a medal when the wine is not yet bottled?
We presented a sample of what is called “brut de cuve” to this jury of knowledgeable professionals. We took this sample directly by hand from our vat of NEUS rosé. Bottling would have offered an even more aromatically precise sample. That is to say !
