2017 VINTAGE : NEUS WHITE AND ROSE AVAILABLE
NEUS white and NEUS rosé 2017 are available!
They were bottled on January 9th at the same time as EVOLUS white 2016.
NEUS white 2017 still includes 80% Vermentino, but our young vineyard of Viognier and Grenache gray finally able to produce allows us to associate it with 10% of each. These two grape varieties will give this wine its fine spine when the Vermentino offers all its aromatic expression and freshness. Our young vine will be certified organic in 2018, so the 2017 vintage of NEUS white returns to biological conversion for one year.
NEUS rosé 2017 will have no Tempranillo in its blend on 2017 vintage: the plot of this grape has burned completely under the frost wave of late April. So we increased the proportion of Cinsault by harvesting it at two different stages: the first time as usual at the beginning of September, at the very beginning of maturity, very crunchy, and a second time 10 days later, more concentrated, to compensate the absence of Tempranillo . NEUS rosé 2017, with 85% Cinsault and 15% Vermentino, does not lose anything!
